From chaos to order. From labs to ledgers.

Have I figured AI out? No. Nobody has; it is an expanding landscape. What I bring is hands-on experience, the scars of work done at scale, and mental models that help boards, investors, and executive teams across the insurance ecosystem ask the right questions, then co-create the most optimized answers for each organization's situation.

On AI

No one has AI figured out. Distrust anyone who claims otherwise. The advantage goes to teams asking better questions, faster.

On experience

Scars beat slideware. Mental models earned in production, at scale, with real money at stake, are what I bring into the room.

On growth

Profitable growth or nothing. I work with insurance organizations that are profitable and cash-flow positive, not playing the valuation game.

Across the ecosystem: Carriers Reinsurers MGAs / MGUs Brokers TPAs InsurTechs Ecosystem Partners
The Operating Arc

Chaos to order, in four moves.

Insurance organizations in transition are engineered chaos: overlapping bets, unfinished integrations, AI experiments everywhere. My work is turning that chaos into order, from labs to ledgers, in a sequence boards, auditors, and investment committees can follow.

01

Strategy

Where value actually sits: capital allocation, portfolio choices, build-buy-license decisions, and the questions every board should ask about cost, risk, and defensibility.

02

Transformation

Operating model, data foundations, governance, and change design so that adoption is engineered in, not hoped for after go-live.

03

Execution

Deals closed, platforms shipped, RFPs won, integrations delivered. Production systems and signed contracts, not pilots and roadmaps.

04

Value Creation

Operating earnings, cash flow, licensable IP, and stronger enterprise value, documented in language CFOs, boards, and regulators recognize.

What I Do

Five ways I create value across insurance.

For carriers, reinsurers, MGAs/MGUs, brokers, TPAs, InsurTech companies, and ecosystem partners, and for the boards and investors behind them. One filter across every engagement: I work with profitable, cash-flow-positive organizations, in service of profitable growth.

For operating companies and their owners

IP Monetization

I have built, patented, licensed, and exited proprietary IP three times. I help companies find the licensable asset hiding inside their operations and turn it into recurring revenue and stronger enterprise value.

  • IP audit and patent-strategy sprints
  • Licensing architecture: practitioner, firm, platform, OEM tiers
  • IP-led valuation narratives for fundraising and exit
For vendors selling into carriers and reinsurers

RFP Responses & Deal Execution

Insurance procurement is a discipline. I have won complex, multi-stage pursuits across claims, analytics, and finance transformation, and I run the same machinery for vendors who cannot afford to lose winnable deals.

  • End-to-end RFP and RFI response leadership
  • Orals coaching, demo strategy, and pricing structures
  • Gainshare and outcome-based commercial model design
For boards, audit committees, and risk leaders

AI Audit & Governance

Author of a patent-pending 304-factor AI risk framework mapped to 12 regulatory frameworks including NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001. I make AI portfolios defensible to boards, auditors, and regulators.

  • Enterprise AI portfolio and governance audits
  • Regulatory readiness: NAIC, state AI acts, EU AI Act exposure
  • AI capital-allocation reviews with board-ready reporting
For investors, VCs, and PE firms

Board & Investment Advisory

Operator-grade judgment for insurance and insurance-technology investments: what is real, what is defensible, and where the value-creation levers actually are. Available for diligence sprints, board seats, and operating-partner engagement.

  • Pre-close AI, technology, and operations diligence
  • 100-day value-creation plans built during diligence, not after
  • Board advisory and audit-committee AI literacy
For institutional investors

Insurance Investment Aggregation

I help institutional investors aggregate and govern their investments across the insurance ecosystem globally: direct private and public market positions in insurance and insurance technology businesses, exposure to insurance-linked securities, and insurance capital markets strategies.

  • Portfolio perspective across carriers, reinsurers, distribution, services, and technology
  • Operator-grade diligence and governance of insurance and InsurTech positions
  • Insurance-linked securities and insurance capital markets exposure, evaluated with practitioner judgment

Investment Thesis

Aggregating insurance exposure, globally.

I help institutional investors aggregate their investments across the insurance ecosystem worldwide: from direct private and public market investments in insurance and insurance technology businesses, to exposure to insurance-linked securities and insurance capital markets. The filter never changes: profitable, cash-flow-positive businesses, evaluated with operator judgment rather than spreadsheet optimism.

About

Operator first. Everything else second.

I am a growth and value-creation executive with 25+ years across insurance, InsurTech, and capital markets, currently leading a nine-figure AI-era growth charter in North America financial services at a global consulting and business services firm. My work sits at the intersection of capital allocation and leadership: deciding where money and talent go, then leading the teams that turn those decisions into business value.

My career has one repeating pattern: walk into chaos, build the machine that turns it into order, and leave behind something durable, whether that is an $80M savings run-rate, a 300-program AI practice, a licensed index platform, or a patent-pending risk framework. Business strategy and transformation matter to me only insofar as they convert into business value; the rest is theater.

In enterprise AI, I work across all three fronts: innovation (two patent-pending frameworks and a production risk platform), execution (hundreds of AI, ML, and NLP programs taken live inside regulated institutions), and governance (board-grade frameworks for AI cost, risk, and defensibility).

I am also a writer, in both business and fiction. My business writing spans books and papers on enterprise AI economics, governance, and regulation; my fiction projects are longer-arc work in progress. And I am a neurodiversity advocate: a longtime coach in inclusive and adaptive sports programs, work that has taught me more about adoption, patience, and change than any transformation methodology ever did.

If value is stuck, let's talk.

Board advisory, diligence, IP monetization, AI governance, deal execution, or the investment thesis. One conversation is usually enough to know if there is a fit.
